GWC Wins “Logistics Innovation Award of the Year” at Enterprise Agility Awards

GWC (Q.S.C.), the leading logistics provider in the State of Qatar, was presented the Enterprise Agility Award 2016 for Logistics Innovation at a ceremony organized by BNC publishing and held at The Grand Hyatt in Doha, Qatar on November 14, 2016. “We are delighted for the recognition that GWC received towards developing innovative solutions and bespoke infrastructure in line with our clients’ needs and requirements,” stated GWC Director of Public Relations Mr. Abdulaziz Al Sahlawi during the ceremony.

In its third year since its inauguration, The Enterprise Agility Awards recognizes and honors enterprise leaders and individuals who have distinguished themselves and shown sector significance and outstanding business conduct across a variety of industries that are key drivers of respective Middle East’s economies.

“GWC continuously demonstrates the flexibility necessary to fulfill the needs of the local economy in times of change, supporting the growth of new economic sectors, while remaining true to its purpose of supporting Qatar National Vision 2030 of becoming a sustainable and diverse economy, while ensuring the best possible returns to our stakeholders,”
stated GWC Chairman Sheikh Abdulla bin Fahad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani.

GWC continues to grow in the Qatari market, with an increase of 11% in its net profits, achieving QAR 150 million, as compared to QAR 135 million by the end of the same period in 2015. The company’s total revenues also grew to QAR 634 million at the end of the quarter, a 4 % increase from QAR 608 million in the first three quarters of 2015. The company’s assets continued to develop, with total assets reaching QAR 3.61 billion by the end of September 2016, compared with QAR 2.981 billion at the end of December 2015, representing a 21% growth.
